- Test: Salmon Gill ATPase assay.
- Sample type: Salmon Gills.
- Sampling: To be carried out by the client (advice will be given on the procedure).
- Sample requirements: Samples to be shipped on dry ice. Deliver frozen.
- Testing schedule: Daily.
- Turnaround: 4 working days/2 days on request.
- Reporting: VeroMara will supply an Excel spread sheet with the activity progress (µMol ADP/h/mg protein).
Lysozyme activity
- Test: Determination of lysozyme activity using quantitative kinetic fluorescent enzyme assay. Triplicate determination.
- Sample type: Fish mucus.
- Sampling: VeroMara will advise on the best procedure.
- Sampling requirements: 1ml frozen mucus.
- Turnaround: Completion within 2 weeks of receipt. Initial lead-time 2 weeks.
- Order: Minimum 20 samples.
Endochitinase and exochitinase
- Test: Determination of endochitinase and exochitinase in fish mucus using quantitative kinetic fluorescent enzyme assay. Triplicate determination.
- Sample type: Fish mucus.
- Sampling: VeroMara will advise on the best procedure.
- Sampling requirements: 1ml frozen mucus.
- Turnaround: Completion within 2 weeks of receipt. Initial lead-time 2 weeks.
