Minimum sample weight is 25 grams; however the sample should be representative of the batch. Samples must be chilled but not in direct contact with ice. |
| Testing Schedule |
Analysis carried out Monday/Tuesday/ Wednesday. Samples should be at the lab by 3pm on Wednesday. Not more than 48 hours must elapse between sampling and arrival at the lab. |
| Turnaround |
Presence/absence of presumptive Vibrio species available after 72 hours. PCR analysis requires a further 24 hours. |
